Travel with Gallagher was created to address a critical need: trusted, comprehensive travel insurance solutions for individuals, families, groups, nonprofits, and organizations traveling globally. With decades of experience in charitable and international insurance services, Gallagher wanted to modernize its web platform to not only inform but also empower users to protect their trips with confidence. Our role was to design and structure the digital experience to communicate reliability, showcase benefits clearly, and simplify the process of exploring and purchasing tailored travel insurance plans.

Project Overview
To create a confidence-building platform that helps businesses evaluate risk, compare scenarios, and make informed insurance decisions with actionable insights.
Gallagher Drive and its supporting calculators provide organizations with risk visibility, financial modeling, and benchmarking tools. The platform transforms abstract insurance conversations into clear, data-backed insights tailored for industries, geographies, and company sizes.
We designed Gallagher Drive as a trusted digital advisor. The system guides businesses through risk exploration, coverage evaluation, and cost optimization in a clear, interactive manner. Complementary tools like the Cyber Risk and Umbrella Limits Calculators extend its value by letting users simulate vulnerabilities and coverage adequacy, helping leaders act with confidence.
Approach
Goal: Build an insight-driven platform where businesses can interact with data securely, clearly, and confidently — without requiring insurance expertise. We structured the platform around three pillars: Clarity (simplifying complex risk data), Guidance (step-by-step insights), and Confidence (actionable outcomes).
Our design direction emphasized professional trust, but paired it with approachable visuals, modular calculators, and clear CTAs that encouraged users to explore, learn, and take the next step toward tailored solutions.
Designing Insights That Inspire Confidence
We applied a research-driven UX process to ensure the platform supported both business decision-makers and Gallagher consultants.
Empathize Interviewed CFOs, risk managers, and compliance officers to understand their needs. Identified concerns: lack of clarity, overwhelming data, and uncertainty about coverage adequacy. Define Personas: The Corporate Risk Manager, The Mid-size Business Owner, The Compliance Officer. Problems: how might we make complex risk data intuitive, and calculators approachable? Ideate Brainstormed interactive modules, step-based forms, and simplified dashboards for risk tools. Focused on integrating videos, FAQs, and contextual tooltips to reduce user uncertainty. Prototype Designed Gallagher Drive landing, interactive “Take a Test Drive” flow, and embedded calculators. Built form flows for Cyber Risk and Umbrella Limits calculators with progressive disclosure. Test Conducted usability tests across industries. Feedback: shorter forms, more visual indicators, clearer CTAs. Refine Optimized forms with autofill options, refined risk visualization outputs, and clarified CTA hierarchy.
The design philosophy centered around making data human. Insurance and risk are complex, but by using approachable visuals, step-based calculators, and supportive messaging, we ensured the tools felt inviting, credible, and empowering.
Final Design
The final experience combines Gallagher Drive’s insights hub with practical, interactive calculators that empower users to explore risks confidently and efficiently.
The design delivers an insightful, professional, and interactive experience that balances credibility with simplicity — transforming complex insurance analysis into accessible tools that drive action.
